It would be wise to try using the disk in a different computer, to check if it is usable or not. In my opinion, although its a little cheaper. Some older drives, it seems experience difficulty even though they appear be be still operating fine for other purposes. Both are 25 character alphanumerical codes. I'm wondering if Windows 8 might be a flop and not selling a well as they had hoped for. The bios won't match and it won't work. It also supports 32 bit and 64 bit systems.
